Modern Assistance Programs provides a full spectrum of services, including drug and alcohol testing, result interpretation, substance abuse evaluations, substance abuse treatment, fitness for duty assessments and training for supervisors and employees.
Our Services Include:
Oral Fluid Drug Testing
Modern Assistance Programs uses oral fluid testing as its primary method of testing but also coordinates urine and hair tests as necessary. Oral fluid testing allows for easy and convenient collection of samples that can be done in almost any setting and reduces the possibility of adulteration as it is performed in the presence of an observer. The testing is suitable for detecting impairment due to drug abuse because it shows recent drug use. The procedure is fast and simple and can be performed on site to reduce time away lost from work.
Oral fluids is the generic name for siliva and other substances collected from the mouth. Traces of drugs, drug metabolites can be detected in oral fluid tests. In the oral fluid testing system, the person laces a swab in their mouth until it is saturated. They then place the swab in a collection vial, snap off the handle and seal the container. The same is then headed over for analysis at an off site lab for further evaluations.
“Modern Assistance and its drug testing services have become a cornerstone of the Pipfitter’s apprentice training program. The diagnosis and treatment of substance abuse and other problems are directed to MAP, who provide timely solutions to our apprentices and administration. Worker retention, acedemic achievement and job satisfaction all are positively influenced by the Pipefitter Apprentice training program/MAP partnership”.
